My name is CJ Williams, Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. Here you will find all the information on my racing history. I have been involved with car racing as far back as the mid 1980’s Street Racing on the Street of Chicago and the NW Suburbs.

The first muscle car that I owned was a 74 Chevelle after 1 year I moved on to my 71 Old Cutlas with a 455. and my 68 Hurst Olds. During this time Ford had come out with the 1985 Mustang GT and I had to have one.  I purchased my 1st of two 1985 Mustang Gt’s that summer and proceeded to install a NOS Nitrous Plate System on this car while carefully hiding all the lines and the bottle in the car. I street raced this car with some success in 1985-86 which is when I got hooked on the Ford Fox Body Platform. I proceeded to sell my Cutlas and bought a 2nd 1985 Mustang GT, this one when it hit the streets would boast a 351 Windsor Engine with a NOS 175 Hp system a Doug Nash 5 Speed and a Strange 9” Rear End. I had very good results Street Racing this car for a couple of years.

Around 1989 while street racing I witnessed a terrible accident that someone I new was killed in Street Racing. At this point I had made the decision that it was time to park my car and that Street Racing was no longer for me. I sold both my Mustangs within a year of parking them and never looked back.

After taking 16 years off from the car seen and building my business I stumbled across yet another Fox Body project, this one a 1991 Mustang GT that I purchased from a friend in Las Vegas in 2004. Over the next 6 months this car was transformed into one stought street car with a AES 347 Stroker, Astro Performance A5 Trans, and a Ford 8.8 Rear End with all the goodies from Strange. After building this car we took it to a few shows and then to the Drag Strip, and competed in the King of The Street Competition in Bowling Green, KY. for 5.0 Superfords Magazine, it turned out to be a Mid 10 Second Street Car that was way to nice to beat up at the Drag Strip. Over the next year I re-met Mike Miller of Mike Miller Performance and started going to the track with him. I started talking with him about building a dedicated race car, I was hooked once again. I now have a Jerry Bickle, 1993 Mustang Cobra Modified Super Stock Car. This car has a AES 370ci Alky Small Block Ford engine that has a Nitrous Fogger, Power Glide and a Fab 9” rear end. Both rides have been featured in many magazines.

In 2006, 07 & 08 I bounced around with Summt Series Bracket Racing and NMRA Open Comp then I came across the IMSM Racing Series over the winter in 2007 which is were we raced through 2009. In the winter of 2009 a good friend / fellow racer (Kevin Deaton) and myself decided to start a new organization for racers that had more of what we where looking for, we formed the GDRA (Gamblers Drag Racing Association) which premiered in 2010 at Great Lakes Dragaway. This is where you will find CJ Williams Racing in 2014, with the GDRA at Route 66 Raceway & Byron Dragway. We have the Car, the Crew and Driver to get to the Winners Circle in 2013!

In 2014 look for us at the GDRA, "Gamblers Drag Race Association"
